The Logitech G Pro X takes fourth place on our list If you want to see the top 5 list click here.
The Logitech G Pro offers exceptional sound quality for a gaming headset but a few difficult features that make it not so friendly knocked it down from receiving a medal.
The wired version of the Logitech G Pro is an exceptional headset all wrapped up at a good price. The wireless version while still maintaining the good sound quality lets itself down a little bit by missing out on some simple things like adding a 3.5mm audio port into it.
In terms of Aesthetics, the wireless version is the same as its wired brother. Mostly black with the Logitech G logos on the side of each ear cup in metal. The ear cups are padded in faux leather-wrapped memory foam and the headband is wrapped in faux leather too. Overall it is a plain and simple design.
The ear cups are connected via plastic y struts to the headband, The ear cups give enough “clamp” to keep them securely over your ears.
On the left ear cup, you will find the power button, mute button and volume dial along with the USB charging port and the detachable microphone. leaving the right-hand ear cup completely empty.
The detachable microphone comes with a foam windshield and is easy to position and stays in the position you left it.
Logitech G really wanted this to be a wireless headset, there is no option for a 3.5mm audio port on the headset so it will not work with any mobile systems.
Weighing at 370grams it is a big boy of headsets- this can lead to some discomfort after a long time of wearing.
There are no adjustable channels in the Logitech headset like some of the others in the price range. That can make the headset a little uncomfortable for people who wear glasses.
The Logitech G Pro X Wireless audio quality does not disappoint- Across a variety of games, it offers excellent audio. There are several different preset which can be set up so you can set up the headset depending on the game that you are playing. It enables you to pick out the direction of gunfire or the sound of footsteps approaching clearly.
Thanks to the Blue voice audio in the Logitech G software the microphone has plenty of setting to choose from enabling you to play and fiddle until you get the right option for you.
Be warned trying to get the right settings can take a bit of time so it’s not a headset you can just put on and go if you are serious about gaming especially with squadmates.
The battery life for the Logitech is more than enough for gaming, offering up to 24hours of use on a single charge, charging is done via a USB C so it is simple and fast.
Connectivity is limited for the headset- connecting easily with the PC but lacking a 3.5mm audio port it will not be able to connect to mobile devices.
With the use of the Blue audio you are able to adjust every single game to reach the optimum gameplay- this is not an easy task and it is not at first obvious what setting is best for what game- Will it sound better with Surround sound or not? So, be prepared to do a lot of fiddling to set up every game with the right preset to match the conditions.
The headset does power off automatically but it does not offer a quick way of waking it, you have to switch it off and back on before using it again.
For a PC gaming headset, this is incredible, offering great audio quality and sound. If you are only interested in the best audio and mic and not worried about having to play around setting it up then we suggest this is the mic for you.
